Inter Milan will be looking to reignite their title charge in Serie A this weekend as the club registered their best win of the season at the San Siro by taking all three points off the league leaders ahead of a trip to Monza.
Edin Dzeko was once again the hero for the Milan outfit that day, as his thumping header forced a 1-0 win over Napoli at home. Inter did see just 36% of the ball, however, but restricted Napoli to just two shots on target in a fantastic defensive display.
Simeone Inzaghi’s men are now up into fourth and behind Juventus in third by just one point and the defending champions and city rivals, AC Milan, by just three points in second. There is still a gap of 10 points on Napoli, however.
As for Monza, they went on the road to Florence in their comeback game, as Carlos Augusto scored in the second half to force a 1-1 draw with Fiorentina. Monza remain in 17th now, but with a comfortable eight points gap on the bottom three.
