Manchester United head coach Erik ten Hag has, on Friday, provided a brief insight into the club’s efforts to tie Marcus Rashford down for the long-term.
Hitman Rashford, of course, has reestablished himself as one of the first names on the team sheet of boss Ten Hag across the season to date.
Looking refocused and reinvigorated, the England international has dazzled from his berth on the left flank, racking up a head-turning 27 goals, to go along with six assists.

In turn, it has come as little surprise, for some time now, to hear of the powers that be on the red half of Manchester pushing Rashford to put pen to paper on fresh terms with the club.
The 25-year-old was hotly tipped for an Old Trafford exit last summer, when he is widely understood to have been identified as the ideal long-term replacement for Paris Saint-Germain sensation Kylian Mbappe.
In the end, Rashford evidently stayed put, with outlets this week having gone as far as to suggest that this came after he rejected a proposal worth a whopping £400,000-per-week in Paris.
And those of a Red Devils persuasion will no doubt be delighted to hear that, though the primary focus remains on success on the pitch, the relevant figures are continuing to ‘work’ on finding a contract agreement with Rashford behind the scenes.
Ten Hag on Rashford contract talks: “It’s an internal process. We are focused on winning games, of course also planning for the future so in the back we’re working on that”. 🚨🔴
