Will the run-away league-leaders continue their unstoppable form?

On Wednesday night, Celtic swatted aside Livingston at Parkhead, with Greg Taylor, Daizen Maeda and Kyōgo Furuhashi all on target in the first half.

That’s now four successive Premiership victories for Ange Postecoglou’s team, who’ve gone 577 minutes in all competitions without conceding.

In fact, since their sole league defeat of the season at St Mirren, Celtic have accumulated 49 points from a possible 51, only drawing at Ibrox.

This leaves the Celts nine points clear of Rangers, looking unlikely to let the league slip.

In this period, the closest the Hoops came to dropping points was when they last visited McDiarmid Park in October.

More recently, St Johnstone had been in horrendous form, losing six straight Premiership matches, starting with a 4-1 drubbing at Parkhead on Christmas Eve.

Thus, Wednesday’s 2-0 victory over Motherwell was certainly much-needed, with Drey Wright and Melker Hallberg on target at Fir Park.

This win ensured Callum Davidson’s side remain eighth, now seven points clear of the relegation spots.

Can St Johnstone spring a major surprise against Celtic in Perth?
