The latest goalscoring endeeavours on the part of Manchester City star Erling Haaland have seen the Norwegian etch his name indellibly into the history books of the club.

City and Haaland, of course, are currently locked in action.

After table-topping Arsenal reestablished their five-point advantage at the division’s summit, Pep Guardiola’s troops made the trip to the Vitality Stadium, hopeful of pegging the Gunners back at Bournemouth’s expense.

And, as things stand on England’s south coast, this is precisely what the champions are on their way to doing.

This comes owing to a rampant first-half display, which sees Guardiola and co. in possession of a three-goal lead.

And amongst the scorers, as alluded to above, was that man Erling Haaland.

And, in the process, Haaland made history.

As confirmed by a host of sources on Saturday evening, the former Borussia Dortmund standout’s latest goal marked his 27th of the Premier League campaign.

This is more than any Manchester City player has ever managed across a single season in the competition, breaking the record previously held by club legend Sergio Aguero.
