10th-placed Torino will welcome the champions AC Milan to Turin off the back of two wins in a row as Stefano Pioli men’s make the trip second in the table right now in what has been a commendable effort to defend their title.
It’s looking like nobody is going to stop Napoli this season right now, but Milan can go back to within three points of the unbeaten league leaders with a win. There’s more motivation for Milan to win this game by the fact they will see third-placed Lazio and fourth-placed Atalanta move above them in the table if they win their games.
Milan got their best win in the Champions League since returning to the competition last season, as they hammered Dinamo Zagreb 4-0 in Croatia. The Serie A champions also smashed Monza 4-1 last weekend, just one week after edging past Hellas Verona. They did lose to Chelsea just prior to this, however.
Torino managed to beat Udinese against the odds last weekend in a trip to Udine. This also comes off the back off beating Cittadella 4-0 in the second round of the Coppa Italia. Torino did lose to rivals Juventus just before that, however.
Milan are also heading into this game with 24 goals scored in Serie A, which is only bettered by Inter Milan and Napoli. Their only loss of the season also came in that defeat to Napoli, as the club lost 2-1 at the San Siro.
