Udinese are back into the top seven after their first win since the World Cup break with the Udine side now set to welcome strugglers Hellas Verona to the Dacia Arena as the away side moved into 18th last weekend.
It’s been a long and tiresome season for Verona already, but they are now heading into this game in the best form and position the club have been in all campaign long.
A 2-0 win over Cremonese a few weeks back gave them great hope in moving out of the bottom three and after now collecting all three points against Lecce, they sit five points away from safety.
Fabio Depaoli scored the opening goal that day, as Darko Larzovic bagged another as well. Larzovic also scored the two goals in the win over Cremonese and he has been the only shining light for Verona this season.
As for Udinese, they sit behind the European spots by quite a distance now and it doesn’t look as if any side outside of the top six will break into these positions anymore. Udinese are now seven behind Atalanta in sixth.
Nevertheless, a 1-0 win over Sampdoria was the club’s first since action resumed in Italy.
