Spurs continued their unbeaten start to the season by grinding out a 2-0 win over Nottingham Forest, despite not playing particularly well, and the driving runs and defensive presence of Argentine defender Romero was sorely missed by Conte’s side despite picking up a much needed three points.

And though there were initially fears that the former Juventus man could be sidelined until after the international break, these proved to be wide of the mark, with Romero now back in training, even if Thursday’s clash with the Hammers may come too soon.
Skipp, meanwhile, has not played a competitive match for Tottenham since January, having been sidelined with a groin problem last season and suffering another injury at the beginning of this campaign.
“About Romero and Skippy, today they had a training session with us”, Conte explained. For sure we have to wait until they are completely recovered. A good sign for us and the players”, he added.
Meanwhile, he added that fans can expect to see Richarlison begin to be introduced from the beginning of games, having provided an assist off the bench against Nottingham Forest but yet to make his full debut for the Lilywhites.
With Heung Min-Son having yet to open his Premier League account and looking well off the boil in the early weeks of the season, it could well be the Korean that makes way.
