Star Manchester United winger Antony has officially been removed from the latest Brazil squad as the 23-year-old remains the subject of an ongoing Police investigation surrounding claims that the Red Devils youngster attacked his ex-girlfriend.
Per multiple reports, Gabriela Cavallin has given statements and evidence that “alleges Antony, 23, headbutted and punched her in a hotel room on January 14, the day after a Premier League game against Manchester City.” Cavallin has also provided WhatsApp messages to aid in her report.
As such, the Confederação Brasileira de Futebol issued an official statement that confirms Antony was dismissed from Fernando Diniz’s squad which is set to begin its qualification campaign for the 2026 World Cup with upcoming fixtures against Bolivia and Peru.
