Just 7 Arsenal loanees were in action across 4 divisions over the weekend as English and Scottish football postponed their fixtures following the death of Queen Elizabeth II last Thursday.

It was largely a quiet week as a result, but there was a debut for Miguel Azeez and wins for several more Gunners.

Folarin Balogun (Stade de Reims)

Balogun played 90 minutes but could not prevent his Reims side from falling to a 1-0 defeat at the hands of Toulouse. He managed just a sole shot on target, and saw a further two blocked.

The result means that Reims remain just a point above the drop zone in Ligue 1, with just one win to their name so far this campaign.

Tyreece John-Jules (Ipswich Town)

The youngster scooped the Ipswich goal of the month for August for his sole strike for the Tractor Boys last month.

Nuno Tavares (Marseille)

He then played just over an hour in Ligue 1, coming on as a first-half substitute as Marseille edged out Lille 2-1 to continue their unbeaten start to the season and keep pace with leaders Paris Saint Germain.

Nicolas Pepe (OGC Nice)

Arsenal’s record signing helped Nice to a 1-0 win over AC Ajaccio.

However, Lucien Favre spent much of his time on the touchline yelling at the Ivorian, and explained why afterwards, telling the media:

“That’s normal, it’s to reposition people. It was very important to reposition them defensively, because if we don’t all defend at the same time, it becomes difficult. I don’t blame him for anything. Nicolas Pepe and Sofiane Diop have a very important role on the flanks. On the flanks, in a 4-4-2, you have to run and come back. It’s important to remind them.”

Marcelo Flores (Real Oviedo)

Flores was a second-half substitute as Oviedo played out a 0-0 draw with Burgos CF, coming on for the final 18 minutes of the encounter.

Miguel Azeez (Ibiza)

Azeez made his debut for the La Liga 2 side, joining the fray for the final 15 minutes of their narrow 1-0 win over Tenerife, which was their first of the season.

Runar Alex Runarsson (Alanyaspor)

Runarsson played 90 minutes as he helped his side to a 2-1 win over Ankaragücü. The Icelandic shot-stopper made 2 saves to help them move to 10th in the Turkish Super Lig.

Pablo Mari (Monza)

Pablo Mari played 90 minutes at the heart of Monza’s defence, winning all five of his duels as he helped them grab a point against Lecce to grab their account for the season.

Unused/not in squad

Omar Rekik (Sparta Rotterdam)

Rekik was an unused substitute as Sparta Rotterdam lost 3-0 to Feyenoord.

Mika Biereth (RKC Waalwijk)

Biereth was an unused substitute for Waalwijk in their 1-0 defeat to PSV Eindhoven.

Nikolaj Moller (FC Den Bosch)

Moller was not part of the Den Bosch squad as they fell to a 2-1 defeat to FC Dordrecht.
