Former Arsenal target Dominik Szoboszlai could leave RB Leipzig this summer amid interest from Newcastle United, but any interested party will have to cough up around 70m euros to make a move happen.
The Gunners were thought to be keen on the Hungarian midfielder, who is versatile enough to also play on either flank, while he was at RB Salzburg. However, he ultimately opted to move to sister side RB Leipzig in January 2021, where he has gone on to excel.
Blessed with a magical left foot, his 90 Bundesliga appearances have yielded 19 goals and 22 assists for the German side, helping them become a mainstay in the Champions League in the process.

However, he seems keen to move onto pastures new, and Newcastle United have reportedly been keeping tabs on the 22-year-old amid a potential move.
“If I can now take a step towards the five or six best clubs in Europe, should I say no to this challenge? I’ve never been like that.”, the Hungarian was recently recorded saying, something that has not gone down well with his current side.
Now, he is said to be ‘very open’ to a move away from the Bundesliga, while he is also ‘a top transfer target’ for Eddie Howe’s Newcastle side, who are able to offer Champions League football in the northeast for the first time in two decades.
Already losing Christopher Nkunku to Chelsea this summer, Leipzig would rather not lose another key attacker to the Premier League unless it were for a massive fee, which either side would have to cough up to land the young star.
