The situation has gone from bad to worse for Bayern Munich in recent weeks since the unexpected sacking of Julian Nagelsmann and the appointment of former Chelsea tactician Thomas Tuchel as his successor.

Despite a win over rivals Borussia Dortmund to take control of the Bundesliga table, Bayern crashed out of the DFB-Pokal during the early days of Tuchel’s reign before falling to a heavy 3-0 defeat against Manchester City last night in the first-leg of the quarterfinals of the Champions League.

It was a performance well below the acceptable standard set by the brass at Säbener Straße, and in the aftermath of the loss, another storyline is brewing on the back of reports from Sky Sports via Sky Germany that former Liverpool star Sadio Mané punched German international and former Manchester City winger Leroy Sané.

Sané was spotted with a bleeding limp in the aftermath, with both players having to be separated in the dressing room just after the final whistle at the Etihad Stadium.

Both players were spotted on the pitch arguing in the final minutes before full-time, with tensions clearly boiling over once in more private quarters. Mané was reportedly picked up privately when Bayern left the ground, while Sané departed on the team bus.

This will no doubt place question marks surrounding the Senegalese icon’s future at the club after his arrival this past summer from Merseyside despite his strong start to life in the Bundesliga, but Bayern has refused to comment as of now.
