Leicester City boss Brendan Rodgers has ruled Chelsea transfer target Wesley Fofana out of the clash with the Blues this weekend, as the 21 year old continues to push for a move to Stamford Bridge.
Fofana was omitted from the matchday squad against Southampton, and watched on from the stands as his side fell to a 2-1 loss, meaning that they are still on the hunt for their first win of the season.
The Frenchman has been the subject to speculation, and has seen three bids from the Blues turned down, with Leicester holding out for a world record fee for the defender should Chelsea want to land their man.

And, Rodgers confirmed, Fofana remains training with the U21s ahead of the clash with Chelsea this weekend, and will not be present in the Leicester City side that takes to the field against his potential suitors.
Rodgers also confirmed that, should he remain at the club, he would not be considered for selection until after the transfer deadline on September 1st.

Maddison also due to miss out
In more worrying news for Leicester City fans, James Maddison is also a doubt for the trip to Stamford Bridge on Saturday, having picked up a groin strain in training. The Englishman had been a transfer target for Newcastle this summer, but two bids were knocked back and the Magpies seem to have since moved onto other signings, with Alexander Isak on the verge of arriving at the club.
In addition to Maddison and Fofana, Youri Tielemans has attracted interest from Arsenal, while Boubacary Soumare is also free to leave.
