Borussia Dortmund are the centerpiece in Bundesliga transfer movement today, with two reports suggesting that the German giants are set to officially part ways with Erling Haaland while replacing the Norwegian goal machine with German wunderkind Karim Adeyemi.

Both reports are courtesy of transfer insider Nicolo Schira, with the first regarding Haaland said to confirm that Manchester City have agreed to a deal to bring the Norwegian star to the Etihad Stadium in the summer.

The current Premier League holders are thought to want to make a triple summer swoop for a center-forward, central midfielder, and a wide player in order to replace Gabriel Jesus, Raheem Sterling, and Bernardo Silva, who are all angling for possible exits from the blue half of Manchester in the summer window.

Though Haaland was always going to leave this summer with the top echelon of European football fighting for his signature, Dortmund have been on the hunt for his successor at the Westfalenstadion, and have long been linked with a move for German starlet Karim Adeyemi.

Those links are said to have materialized into an agreement between Dortmund and RB Salzburg – also according to Schira – with Adeyemi agreeing to a 5-year deal with Marco Rose’s outfit, set to immediately be trusted as the key man to lead the forward line ahead of Dutch international Donyell Malen.

The Bavarian-born Bayern Munich academy attendee only spent two years in Bavaria before spending six in the academy of SpVgg Unterhaching and completing his education in Austria for two final years before breaking into the first-team setup in Salzburg.

Adeyemi has been a leading light for Die Roten Bullen amid a breakout 2021-22 campaign and has hit 21-goals this season in all competitions, including seventeen in the Austrian Bundesliga.
