Fiorentina are willing to allow Sofyan Amrabat to leave the club on loan this summer, provided that any move includes an obligation to buy the player at the end of the campaign, it has been revealed.

La Voila have been keen to shift the Moroccan midfielder all summer, but despite being linked with several big clubs across Europe including Barcelona and Liverpool, no move has been forthcoming.

It is Manchester United that look to be his most likely destination should he depart in the coming hours, with the Red Devils having held a longstanding interest in the 27-year-old, who Erik ten Hag worked with previously at Utrecht.

But the Red Devils are tight on finances having spent over £160m already this summer, and have seen a loan move rejected already, which consisted of a 2m euro fee but also a break clause which could see Amrabat returned to Florence in January, and Fiorentina net just half of that amount.

They are attempting to find a workaround for the player who is training alone and yet to appear for Fiorentina this season. As per the Telegraph, they could agree a loan deal for the player, but only on the condition that the deal contains an obligation to buy the Moroccan at the end of the season, and they add that ‘a potential purchase fee of between €25 million (£22m) and €30m (£26m) is thought to have been discussed’.

Amrabat has been waiting for the Red Devils for much of the summer, having turned down moves to Atletico Madrid and Saudi Arabia in an attempt to force through a move to Old Trafford.
