Arsenal fans took to social media to vent their opinions on one man in particular as they bossed the first half against Aston Villa, unlucky to only head into the half time break the one goal up.

The Gunners shot out of the blocks in front of a bouncing home crowd, but a series of poor misses and brilliant last-ditch defending on the part of the visiting Aston Villa meant that it looked as though Mikel Arteta’s side were to be frustrated as they peppered the Villa goal.

However, a poor parry from Emiliano Martinez following a shot from Granit Xhaka handed Gabriel Jesus a tap-in, and his third goal of the season, in a first half that Villa could not wait to get out of.

Amid the masterclass put on by the Gunners in front of the home crowd, there was one man that continued to divide opinion, in the form of Sambi Lokonga, who was handed his first start of the season.

With Mohamed Elneny and Thomas Partey both out injured, the Belgian was asked to play as the deepest midfielder, something which left the Gunners faithful split, as can be seen below.
