One of the most important aspects of FPL is picking your captain each week. Whoever you select as your captain with earn double their standard score, or triple it if you chose to play your triple captain chip, which you can do once per season.
But deciding on your captain each week can be a very tough decision that can make or break your game week.
With this in mind, 101GreatGoals will be providing you with an insight into the best captain picks for every game week this season.
📰 Table Of Contents
Harry Kane vs Leicester (11.4)
Despite some less than impressive attacking displays from Antonio Conte’s Tottenham this season, Harry Kane has been in good form.
He has scored five goals and provided one assist in six league games and is the third-best forward on FPL at present.
That is because Kane has a superb record against the Foxes. All told, the Englishman has netted 19 times against Leicester, which is the most he has scored against any club by some distance.
Erling Haaland vs Wolves (12.0)
Wolves have a solid defensive record and have only conceded more than one goal on just one occasion so far this campaign.
There is also a chance that Erling Haaland is benched this weekend given how much Pep Guardiola does like to rotate.
But if you do not have Kane, Erling Haaland is still an excellent captain choice.
The Norwegian has already scored 10 and assisted one in the Premier League this season, and is the top-scoring player on FPL by some distance.
Alexander Isak vs Bournemouth (7.0)
The final player you may wish to captain this week is Alexander Isak of Newcastle.
The Swede has not been in the Premier League long, but has already looked impressive, scoring against Liverpool on his debut.
Newcastle now face a Bournemouth team with a dismal defensive record, shipping 18 goals in just six outings – the worst in the Premier League.
