Arsenal and Chelsea transfer target Mykhaylo Mudryk has continued to push for a move away from Ukrainian side Shakhtar Donetsk this winter, liking a ‘free Mudryk’ Instagram post by an Arsenal creator.

The 22-year-old winger has been on the radar of Arsenal since the summer window, but the Gunners have so far seen two deals rejected by his current Skakhtar side, who are holding out for a fee closer to £88m, well in excess of Arsenal’s most recent £62m bid.

This has drawn Chelsea into proceedings, with the Blues set for face to face talks with the Ukrainian side’s hierarchy later this week, and reports claiming that they would be willing to beat any offer made by Arsenal both on fee and personal terms.

For now, however, it appears that Mudryk has his heart set on the Gunners. The winger, who has seven goals and six assists in 12 Ukrainian league outings, revealed earlier in the season that he would be disappointed if a move did not go through this January, and has also previously explained that he ‘can’t say no’ to the current Premier League leaders.

And as the saga drags on, Mudryk is clearly as bored as everyone else as he awaits an agreement to be reached. Taking to social media, he liked a post by an Arsenal fan account (arsenal_memes_) which hinted that the youngster was being imprisoned by his current club over their excessive price demands, and it was accompanied by the #FreeMudryk.

The attacker is still expected to get his big move this January, despite posturing from his current club, but should the Gunners be priced out of a move he could be making the trip to west London rather than the Emirates.
