Manchester United are having a season to forget in the early doors of the 2022-23 Premier League campaign after being blitzed for four first-half goals on their trip to London to clash with Thomas Frank’s Brentford.
Goals from Josh Dasilva, Mathias Jensen, Ben Mee, and Bryan Mbeumo have thrown the Red Devils into disarray as Erik ten Hag is already feeling the pressure as the new headmaster at United after his arrival from AFC Ajax this summer.
Manchester United have conceded 4+ goals in the first half of a Premier League game for just the third time since the start 2016/17 season:

It was only the third time that the Red Devils have surrendered four goals or more in the first half in the last six seasons, with Ten Hag already feeling the room closing around him after their poor start to the campaign at Old Trafford last weekend in a 2-0 loss to Graham Potter’s Brighton.
To make matters worse, per half-time match coverage on NBCSN, Rebecca Lowe, Robbie Lyle, and former United goalkeeper Tim Howard described the current state of affairs under Ten Hag as a “traveling circus,” with what is shaping up to be another embarrassing performance under a manager that was meant to usher in the right sort of change at the Theatre of Dreams.

Should the overall result hold come full-time at Brentford Community Stadium, it would be seven away losses in succession for United dating back to last season, breaking a record of six consecutive defeats that had not been seen since 1981 before the 2021-22 Premier League campaign.
With questions still being asked regarding to the club’s poor record this summer in the transfer market after missing out on a host of wanted targets, including the desperate nature in which they have continued to chase Barcelona star, Frenkie de Jong.
