Manchester United are ready to enter into new contract talks with youth academy graduate Marcus Rashford after his strong start to the season, attempting to ward off interest from Paris Saint Germain in the process.
The Englishman has begun life under Erik ten Hag in fine form, grabbing 3 goals and 2 assists in his six Premier League outings thus far, and this was underlined by his performance against Arsenal, where he grabbed 3 of those 5 goal contributions.

Out of contract in 2024, the 24-year-old has been linked with a move away from the club in recent seasons owing to poor form and a seeming loss of confidence, and was mooted as a potential replacement at Paris Saint Germain for Kylian Mbappe should he have ended up at Real Madrid over the summer.
And now, reports suggest that the Red Devils are ready to offer him a new deal at Old Trafford, which will commit his long term future to the club that he has spent his career at, warding off interest from the French capital in the process.
Erik ten Hag echoed these thoughts when quizzed on the form of his striker and where he sits in his new bosses’ plans.
“Definitely [in his long-term plans]. I don’t think he’s out of contract and I think United control the situation.”
“He wants to transfer it to the pitch. It starts with happiness, he comes in every day smiling”, the new United boss added.
Should his form continue, he could even force his way back into Gareth Southgate’s plans for the upcoming World Cup in November, having been out of the Three Lions squad for over a year.
