Mexico and Poland have been drawn in Group C alongside Saudi Arabia and Argentina.

Said duo clashed in the day’s early kick-off and played out one of the biggest upsets in World Cup history.

Argentina had not lost in around three years but were beaten 2-1 by Saudi Araba.

As a result, the winner of Mexico vs Poland had a great chance to go top of their group with a win on Tuesday.

And when all was said and done, the points were shared.

It was a fairly open start to the game, with Mexico creating a few more chances via their pacey wingers.

The best chance of the first 45 came after 27 minutes when Jesus Gallardo made a darting run from deep to get through on goal but Scezney got out quickly to close the defender down.

Jorge Sanchez then forced a good save late in the first half but neither keeper was tested too much, with Poland not managing a shot on goal throughout the first 45.

The second 45 saw Poland creating more and they won a penalty 56 minutes in. However, Robert Lewandowski stepped up and saw his penalty saved.

Poland continued to put on more pressure after that miss, which allowed Mexico to hit them on the counter several times. But neither side was able to find that elusive goal.
