Carlo Ancelotti joined Sir Alex Ferguson to become the second manager to reach 100 Champions League wins with Real Madrid’s 2-0 win over RB Leipzig at the Santiago Bernabeu.
Goals from Federico Valverde and Marco Asensio were enough to confirm a second win in Group F for Los Blancos, handing the Italian boss his 100th victory in the competition, bettered only by the former Manchester United boss, who managed 102.
These wins have come across 8 clubs, with Real Madrid, AC Milan, Chelsea, Juventus, Bayern Munich, Napoli, Paris Saint Germain and Parma all having benefitted from his wisdom on Europe’s top stage.
The record comes in just 180 outings, meaning that he has a win percentage record of an impressive 56%. This is just better than the record Sir Alex finished his Champions League career with, winning 105 of his 194 outings (54%).

Of course, Ancelotti also has the upper hand when it comes to Champions League trophies too, having lifted the famous award on four separate occasions, double that of the former Manchester United man.
