Tottenham striker Harry Kane matched a bizarre record during his side’s 3-3 draw with Southampton on Saturday, and could yet beat it across the last 10 games of the season for the Lilywhites.
England’s captain scored the second goal as Spurs flew into a 3-1 lead, only to throw the game away in the final minutes and drop two points against the Saints, which could be vital in their top-four race.
Kane himself is having an excellent season, however, with his strike taking him to 21 goals in the top flight for the season, seven behind Erling Haaland, and comfortably second place in the goalscoring charts.
His goal against Southampton even matched a niche record set by Duncan Ferguson, with it being Kane’s 9th headed goal of the season.
With 10 games still to play, it is possible that Kane overtakes Ferguson and claims another Premier League record.

Beyond this summer, however, his future remains unclear. Out of contract in 2024, he has been strongly linked with a move to Manchester United, while Bayern Munich are also thought to be interested.
“I think it’s better to go into the problem, we are not a team,” he said. “We are 11 players that go into the pitch. I see selfish players, players that don’t want to help each other and don’t put their heart [into it]. This season compared to last, now we are worse in this aspect. When you are not a team you cannot improve.”
They don’t play for something important, yeah. They don’t want to play under pressure, they don’t want to play under stress.
“It is easy in this way. Tottenham’s story is this, 20 years there is the owner and they never won something but why? The fault is only for the club, or for every manager that stay here. I have seen the managers that Tottenham had on the bench. You risk to disrupt the figure of the manager and to protect the other situation in every moment. Until now I try to hide the situation but now, no, because I repeat I don’t want to see what I have seen today.”
Antonio Conte was absolutely furious: “I don’t want to hide it anymore — here is always the same”. 🚨⚪️ #THFC
