Barcelona are set to lose over 100m euros on Ousmane Dembele after it was revealed that the Frenchman had agreed a move to Paris Saint Germain.

Dembele, who is out of contract in 2024 after signing a new deal just 12 months ago, has a release clause in his contract that allows him to leave for just 50m euros, provided that the clause is met before July 31st.

Now, French outlet L’Equipe claim that PSG have agreed to do just that, while Dembele himself has given the green light to a move back to his native country and the French side have tabled a five year deal for the winger.

It brings to a close a tricky five-year spell for Dembele, who was initially signed to replace Neymar when he went to PSG in 2017. Appearing 185 times, he scored 40 times and grabbed another 43 assists for the Camp Nou side, but was often injured and fell out of favour before the arrival of Xavi.

It will also see Barcelona make a massive loss.

The Blaugrana signed Dembele from Borussia Dortmund for a massive 135m euros, but are set to lose him for just 50m euros this summer.

It means that Xavi’s side, already in major financial difficulty, will only be able to bank 25m euros and will take a loss of a massive 110m euros (£95m) on Dembele.

They are keen on signing a new right back should funds become available, with Joao Cancelo among those under consideration, but it is unclear whether the fee received will be enough to help them prise Cancelo away from Manchester City.
