Those who have pre-ordered the Ultimate Edition of the game can then start playing the full game from the 27th of September, whilst the full game is out for those who buy the standard edition from the 30th of September.

The key to having a successful Ultimate Team throughout the game cycle generally starts with an effective budget team.

Serie A is one of the most popular leagues to build your starter team with, due to the number of quality players across the division as well as its popularity within the real world.

And now, ahead of the full launch of FIFA 23, 101 highlighted the best cheap Serie A stars on Ultimate Team this year.

Luis Muriel – ST

The first man to get into your starter squad has to be Luis Muriel, with the Colombian one of the best budget forwards on the game.

The striker has 89 pace, which combined with 86 dribbling will make him a menace running at opposing defences. He also has 83 shooting, including 84 finishing and 89 penalties, meaning that you can be sure he will finish the majority of the chances that you can create for him.

Weston McKennie – CM

This impressive physical set is combined with 79 short passing, 81 dribbling, 80 stand tackling and 74 finishing, meaning that the USA man really can do a bit of everything in midfield this year.

Adrien Rabiot – CM

If one Juventus midfielder is not enough for you, then why not add a second in the shape of Adrien Rabiot. Linked with a move to Manchester United last summer, the Frenchman stayed put and could be a solid starter option in the Italian top flight.

Though none of Rabiot’s stats are above 80 on his card, all six are above 70, and only his shooting (73) is below 75. As a result, the Frenchman has all the makings of a solid, hardworking all-round midfield player, who can work from box-to-box and do a bit of everything even without excelling in anything.

Felipe Anderson – RW

Pace in the wide areas is vital to success in FIFA ultimate team, and Felipe Anderson brings that and more this year. His 85 in both sprint speed and acceleration is combined with 83 dribbling and 4 star skill moves and weak foot, meaning that he is a great all round option.

His 75 shooting is solid, though brought down somewhat by his 56 penalties, while he also has 76 crossing and 77 long passing, helping him pick out any strikers in the box with ease.

Kim Min Jae – CB

Napoli’s newest hero has made quite the impression on Serie A so far, and his card could have a similar impact on the beginning of FIFA23, with the 79 rated defender a great budget option.

Blessed with 80 pace, this is added to by his solid 79 defending, including 82 stand tackle and 77 slide tackling. He will likely bully strikers too, with the Korean having 88 strength and 82 aggression to combine with a 6ft3 frame. He is set to be cheap, and is likely to be good.
