Fabio Paratici’s Tottenham stint appears to be coming to an end after FIFA upheld his ban on football, leaving him likely to leave north London less than two years after his arrival.
The Italian was part of the Juventus set up that was found guilty of breaching financial regulations during the Coronavirus pandemic, and he was handed a 30 month ban from football, though that initially only applied to Italian football.
However, FIFA have since expanded that ban worldwide, meaning that Paratici will be calling time on his Spurs career, having joined in the summer of 2021, unless his appeal is successful, with the date for the result set for April 19th.
With that in mind, we took a look at just how his transfer record will look when he departs the Tottenham Hotspur stadium, including which of his deals were successes, and which sailed wide of the mark.

Pierluigi Gollini (Loan) – HIT
A low-cost option to provide cover for Hugo Lloris. Did nothing to warrant being bought at the end of the loan spell but covered competently enough for the France captain.
Cristian Romero (Loan with obligation to buy) – HIT
Though the Argentine now sees a yellow card virtually every game, there is still undeniably a good defender in there somewhere.

Pape Sarr (£15m) – JURY OUT
Bought in the summer of 2021 and spent the following season on loan with Metz. Very sparingly used by Antonio Conte but suggestions in his rare outings that he possesses enough to make it in north London.
Emerson Royal (£22m) – MISS
Signed on deadline day of 2021, the defender spent 18 months flattering to deceive, to the point where Tottenham bought another right-sided defender to replace him. Improved in recent weeks but still well below what was expected of him.
Bryan Gil (£22m) – MISS
Tearing up La Liga when he was signed, Gil has since been loaned out twice and his Tottenham career already looks over.

Rodrigo Bentancur (£17m) – HIT
One of the best signings in any January transfer window ever, Bentancur’s arrival from Juventus on transfer deadline day (with the man below) was fundamental to Tottenham’s top four charge in the second half of the campaign, and he has become a key man for the Lilywhites.
Dejan Kulusevski (Loan with option to buy) – HIT
Another out of favour diamond plucked from the Juventus rough, Kulusevski made an instant impact on the right hand side for Tottenham, and at just 22 years old he will be a key player for the Lilywhites for a long time to come.

Richarlison (£51m) – MISS
For the amount of money paid for the Brazilian striker, you would have at least have expected a Premier League goal by now.
Injury and selection issues have hampered his first season in a Tottenham shirt, and at 25-years-old he has time to turn his Spurs career around, but so far he has been far from good enough.
Yves Bissouma (£25m) – MISS
Excellent at Brighton, Bissouma’s arrival was viewed as a massive coup but has not worked out at all yet. Like Richarlison, he has time on his hands to turn things around, and he has suffered his fair share of injuries, but he looked well off the pace under Conte.

Destiny Udogie (£15m) – JURY OUT
Exceptionally talented, Udogie has yet to play a Tottenham game yet and is still on loan with Udinese. The Italian looks supremely promising, but only time will tell.
Djed Spence (£12m) – MISS
Another signing that looked astute at the time, but has proved otherwise. Antonio Conte was surprisingly unwilling to use the summer addition, labelling him a club signing. Now at Rennes, he will have a fight on his hands when he returns to the club third in the pecking order this summer.

Clement Lenglet (Loan) – MISS
All summer, Tottenham were in the market for a top-class left sided central defender. Instead, they ended up with Barcelona outcast Lenglet on loan.
Coming in to replace Ben Davies, he has started 16 Premier League games but failed to really impress.
Fraser Forster (Free) – HIT
As a free transfer second-choice goalkeeper, it is hard to really miss the mark. Forster hasn’t torn up trees, but no one expected the veteran shot-stopper to, and he has filled in when required.
Ivan Perisic (Free) – MISS
Unlike Forster, there were high expectations around Conte favourite Ivan Perisic when he arrived last summer, with the Croatian set to nail down a spot at wing back for the Italian.
Injuries to others mean that the place has been his by default, but he has been a shadow of his Serie A self and, now 34, looks to be a short-term plaster rather than a long-term fix.

Pedro Porro (45m) – JURY OUT
Arrived in January and is still finding his feet in the Premier League.
Arnaut Danjuma (Loan) – MISS
Like Porro he arrived in January, but come April Danjuma is yet to make a Premier League start, and has played just 11 League minutes.
Given that he is only on loan until the end of the season, it is a massive waste of everyone’s time.
