Bernardo Silva has fanned the flames of speculation surrounding his departure from Manchester City, claiming that his current employers know exactly what he wants this summer.
The Portuguese midfielder has been long-linked with a move to Barcelona this summer, with various reports claiming that the maestro is ‘obsessed’ with a move to the Camp Nou and that Barcelona had agreed a deal worth less than 80m euros for the Cityzen.
However, these have since been debunked, with the reports dismissed as ‘nonsense’ by those closest to the club.
Nonetheless, there is still hope in Spain that a deal could be done despite Barcelona’s financial issues, and now Silva himself has poured fuel on that fire.

Silva speaks out
In a recent interview, the maestro hinted that he may wish to depart the club, who he has so far made over 250 appearances for since his move from Monaco.
“I’ve been open with Man City and they know what I want. If I stay, I’m very happy and I will always respect this club and give all my best. If not, it’s football and we’ll just see what happens”, Silva told ESPN.

He added that should he opt to leave the club and an agreement could be reached, he would not expect Pep Guardiola and Manchester City to stand in his way, despite having already let Oleksandr Zinchenko, Raheem Sterling and Gabriel Jesus this summer.
“It’s a big club, and they don’t want players who are not happy at the club. They always say to all of us that if you’re not happy, you can go”, he revealed.
