While off the pitch issues continue to circle around Chelsea Football Club, there is good news on it as Thomas Tuchel has issued an injury update ahead of their trip to France for the second leg of the Champions Leg last 16.
Speaking to the media ahead of the trip to Lille, where Chelsea head into the game with a two-goal advantage courtesy of an impressive performance at Stamford Bridge, Tuchel revealed that both Marcos Alonso and Cesar Azpilicueta are fit to start against the French champions.
Meanwhile, there will be late fitness tests for English pair Reece James and Calum Hudson-Odoi ahead of the tie, with both hopeful of being in training on Tuesday as they look to step up their recovery.
Tuchel on injuries: “Marcos is ready to start, Azpi is ready to start, we will try to have them later in training (James and Hudson-Odoi) but it will be hard.” #CFC

This will come as a major boost to Chelsea, who were forced to field a pair of centre-backs in the forms of Trevoh Chalobah and Malang Sarr in their 1-0 win over Newcastle on Sunday.
