West Ham are reportedly growing frustrated by Arsenal’s decision to delay Declan Rice’s announcement, with the final formalities of the deal yet to be completed and the Hammers now being hamstrung in their own transfer ambitions this summer, it has been claimed.
The two sides have agreed a £105m deal to take West Ham’s captain to the Emirates Stadium this summer, a move that will be a record transfer for both parties, It was even reported that he underwent his medical on Friday before returning to Portugal, where he is in a training camp with the likes of Rafael Leao, Bruno Fernandes and Joao Cancelo.
Despite this, there has been no further confirmation on either side of any deal, and Sky Sports now report that David Moyes and co. are growing frustrated by the lack of movement, with less than a month of the window left before the new season begins.
Allegedly, West Ham are yet to sign the contracts, with the delay being attributed to paperwork being drawn up by Arsenal’s lawyers after a deal was agreed eight days ago.

According to the reliable EXWHUEmployee, however, there have been no changes to the deal, and he reports that Rice is expected to be ‘officially announced either Friday or Saturday by Arsenal before joining up with their squad for the tour of the USA’.
It comes with West Ham looking to use the money raised by Rice to rebuild their own squad ahead of a season in the Europa League, with the likes of Fulham’s Joao Palhinha and Southampton midfielder James Ward-Prowse among those on their wishlist.
