Match preview
Crawley Town and Hartlepool United will meet in League Two this weekend as the two meet in arguably the biggest game of the season for both sides as Crawley edge closer to the relegation zone.
Hartlepool are still sitting last in the league and have barely anything to shout about this season. They have, however, managed to make it to the third round of the FA Cup after a win over Harrogate Town two Saturdays ago, but in losing to Stockport County 5-0 at home, they still sit last in the league.
The 5-0 drubbing also means they have now let in an almighty 39 goals this season from just 20 games, losing 12 and drawing six. Hartlepool have only won twice, and you have to go all the way back to the end of October to see their last win.
Crawley are into 19th after a great win over the promotion chasers, Swindon Town, beating them 2-0 at the Broadfield Stadium. The club have now extended their unbeaten run to two games with them drawing against Gillingham.
They are now just six points ahead of the bottom four in League Two and have won five games and lost only nine of the 20 games in the league. However, in letting in 30 goals from 20 games, they have a lot to work on with only Hartlepool down in 24th actually conceding more than that.
