An almost unbelievable statistic, highlighting the outing to forget endured by Liverpool star Mohamed Salah on Saturday, has come to the fore online.

Wide-man Salah, as expected, was afforded his latest start this afternoon.

This came as a Liverpool outfit on the up made the trip to Premier League basement dwellers Nottingham Forest, with sighs set on a 4th win on the bounce.

When all was said and done at the City Ground, though, the day’s visitors were brought crashing back down to earth.

Despite racking up less than a quarter of the possession across the 90 minutes, upon the final whistle bringing proceedings to a close, it was Forest who emerged triumphant.

This came as a solitary strike on the part of Taiwo Awoniyi proved enough to guide Steve Cooper’s troops to the right side of a 1-0 scoreline.

As alluded to above, though, none were guilty of as much to quite the same extent as Reds star man Mohamed Salah.

The Egyptian saw out the full 90 minutes in England’s East Midlands, but proved uncharacteristically quiet throughout.

And such troubles have since been aptly summed up by the most remarkable of statistics.

As per a number of sources post-match, Salah’s time on the pitch on Saturday gave rise to just 4 (yes, four) completed passes.
