Supporters of Premier League giants Chelsea have flooded to social media on Sunday evening, to express excitement over the endeavours of an up-and-coming member of the club’s loan army.
The player in question? Levi Colwill.
Defender Colwill was afforded his latest starting berth today, taking his place at the heart of Brighton & Hove Albion’s backline in a Premier League showdown with Arsenal.
And, to this point in proceedings, safe to say, the 20-year-old has gone on to impress.
Late in the action at The Emirates, Brighton find themselves in possession of a one-goal advantage, owing to Julio Enciso’s close-range finish:

It is that man Colwill, though, who has instead caught the eye of many a viewer.
In turn, it should come as little surprise to hear of the Chelsea faithful taking to social media in their numbers, to express widespread excitement over Colwill’s future role in west London:
I’ve seen enough. What a talent.

Levi Colwill, an English LCB is constantly pinging long balls over the top to the attackers with pinpoint accuracy

Colwill’s over the top passing is outrageous.

The Colwill-Mudryk dynamic is going to cook for us next season under Poch.
Imagine Mudryk running in behind with Colwill’s ability to beat the press and drop a long pass over opposition defences. Wow.
