West Ham United star James Ward-Prowse, late on Thursday, etched his name firmly into the history books of the capital outfit.
Ward-Prowse, and West Ham, were of course back in action a short time ago.
Fresh off a fine start to the campaign on the domestic front, David Moyes’ troops turned their attentions towards matters on the continent, in the club’s Europa League opener against Serbian outfit Backa Topola.
And, when all was said and done, the Irons’ solid form continued, to the tune of a 3-1 triumph.
After Petar Stanic guided the visitors into a shock lead at the London Stadium, West Ham soon turned things around, courtesy of goals on the part of all of Nemanja Petrovic (OG), Mohammed Kudus, and Tomas Soucek.

As alluded to above, though, on another productive night for the Hammers, it was another member of Moyes’ squad who in fact made history.
Midfielder Ward-Prowse has of course staked an early claim for Premier League signing of the summer, amid a stellar start to life in West Ham colours.
All told, across four league appearances to date, the former Southampton man has directly contributed to five goals.
And, this evening, he kept such impressive production very much alive.
In fact, in laying on two of his side’s goals, Ward-Prowse became the first player to ever notch a pair of assists on both his Premier League and Europa League debuts for West Ham:
