Former Leeds United head coach Jesse Marsch is being lined up for a swift move back to the Premier League, according to reports.
The outfit ready to snap up the newly-available American? Southampton.
News of a change on the bench at St. Mary’s, of course, was made official on Sunday morning.
This came by way of a statement across the Saints’ website and social media platforms, confirming that the decision had been made to part ways with head coach Nathan Jones.
The Welshman lasted just three months, and 14 games in charge in the south of England.

Attentions at St. Mary’s, in turn, have swiftly turned towards securing a replacement for the departing Jones.
Safe to say, then, that the tactician ultimately charged with leading the Saints forward will have a serious job on his hands in kicking on towards survival.
And, as alluded to above, it would appear as though one candidate potentially in line to be trusted with exactly this task has, on Sunday, been identified.
As per a report from The Times, the powers that be on England’s south coast are giving serious consideration to the appointment of Jesse Marsch.
This, of course, comes less than a week after Marsch was sent on his way by another of the Premier League’s clubs, in Leeds United.
Now, though, it would appear as though the American is in line for a swift return to the English game, potentially set to be handed the reins at Southampton as early as this coming week.
