Some slight concern in the French camp this morning as Raphaël Varane and Ibrahima Konaté have both come down with a cold.

A cold has been going around the camp, which kept Dayot Upamecano and Adrien Rabiot out of the semi-final.

Now, Didier Deschamps’ center-back pairing have also picked up the illness.

Varane and Konaté catch cold

Varane and Konaté are the latest two players to catch the cold going around the French camp.

At this stage, their situations are not thought to be too worrying and they will be monitored.

However, with around 48 hours until the final, surely there is some cause for concern about them being better in time.

Konaté came into the team after Upamecano was missing with the same illness.

As mentioned, their situations will be monitored and in the event of them being unable to play, Benjamin Pavard, Jules Koundé, Benoît Badiashile and William Saliba will all be on stand-by to fill in.
