Liverpool head coach Jurgen Klopp has, on Friday, provided a telling insight into the plans of the powers that be for the summer transfer window.
Calls for reinforcements to Klopp’s ranks, and major ones at that, have of course long begun to mount.
Amid a season which has proven nothing short of a disaster to date, Liverpool’s alarming lack of depth, particularly in the middle of the park, has been exposed time and time again.
Owing to a swathe of issues on the injury front, the Reds, as a result, have been ousted from all cup competitions, whilst also looking like outsiders for a top-4 berth in the Premier League.

Safe to say, then, that, in a bid to keep pace with the likes of Manchester City and the vastly-improved Arsenal, fresh blood will be required at Anfield ahead of next season.
And, if the latest comments on the part of the aforementioned Klopp are anything to go by, then as much is precisely what the Liverpool faithful can look forward to.
And though he refused to divulge the identities of specific targets, the German tactician assured that the intention is ‘definitely’ to get the chequebook out come the season’s close:
“We will definitiely spend in the summer. The club will spend in the summer. For who and how many, there is nothing to say.”
