An insight into the line-up changes being planned by Real Madrid head coach Carlo Ancelotti for the club’s upcoming showdown with Manchester City has been provided late on Friday.

Real, of course, are primed to kick the defence of their Champions League title back into gear next Wednesday.

After being held to a 1-1 stalemate in the first leg of the semi-final tie between the clubs, Los Blancos will make the trip to The Etihad, hopeful of ending the European dreams of Pep Guardiola’s City for another season.

And, if the latest word stemming from the Spanish media this evening is anything to go by, then such efforts will come by way of a considerably altered XI.

As per a report from El Confidencial, Carlo Ancelotti intends to shake up his line-up, courtesy of no fewer than four changes.

When it comes to personnel, just one fresh face will be introduced, in the form of Eder Militao.

In a further knock-on effect, Eduardo Camavinga is set to return to the middle of the park, alongside veteran pair Toni Kroos and Luka Modric.

Finally, this will push Fede Valverde to the right flank, with Rodrygo held in reserve as an impact substitute.
