A fresh insight into the plans of the powers that be at Real Madrid to reinforce the club’s attack has been provided on Thursday.
The subject of fresh blood up top has of course dominated the headlines in Spain’s capital across the week to date.
This comes after long-time Blancos frontman Karim Benzema opted against putting pen to paper on fresh terms, to instead take his talents to Saudi Arabia with Al-Ittihad.
A sizable hole, as a result, has been left in Carlo Ancelotti’s squad.
To this point, Tottenham Hotspur talisman Harry Kane has been repeatedly named as the first-choice target of Florentino Perez and co, with the Englishman understood to be viewed as the ideal fit in Real’s squad.
Reports over the course of the day, however, have pointed towards the capital giants stepping back from their pursuit of Kane, owing to his mammoth price-tag.

Well, as alluded to above, an insight into precisely that has too been forthcoming online late tonight.
As per reports from both Relevo and Cope, Real President Perez is now giving serious consideration to pulling the plug on the Kane operation altogether.
This comes with the Spanish patron ready to wait it out for a year, to instead focus full attentions on the signing of long-time first-choice attacking target Kylian Mbappe.
The insinuation here, evidently, is that the addition of both players has been deemed problematic.
🚨 Florentino Perez is now considering waiting for Kylian Mbappé instead of signing Harry Kane this summer, as per @relevo and @COPE
