Erik ten Hag is still keen to add at least two more new faces to his squad ahead of the start of the new season despite having spent in excess of £100m already this summer.

Manchester United are on the verge of wrapping up a deal for Inter Milan goalkeeper Andre Onana, it has been revealed, with the Cameroonian shot-stopper set to fly to Manchester to complete his move to Old Trafford.

The 27-year-old is expected to pen a deal until 2028, with an option to extend that for a further year, while Manchester United are thought to be shelling out a fee of around 55m euros (£47m), a deal that will make him the fourth most expensive goalkeeper of all time.

It will take United’s spending over the £100m mark, but there are no signs that they will be stopping there.

In fact, they are still keen on adding at least two more new faces to their ranks ahead of the new season.

First among them is Rasmus Hojlund, with the Red Devils still locked in talks with Atlanta over a potential move for the Danish striker.

So far, Atlanta have shown no interest in a potential swap deal, with Fred and Donny Van De Beek having been floated as potential makeweights for a deal.

Those offers also reveal Manchester United’s next area to target, with the Red Devils keen to strengthen in midfield and having earmarked Sofyan Amrabat as one option in that area.

The Moroccan, who has also been linked with Liverpool and Barcelona, starred for his country as they made history in Qatar, becoming the first African side to reach a World Cup semi-final.

He is believed to be available for around £35m, and could be one that United look at later on in the transfer window.
