Real Madrid were humiliated in Manchester last night as Pep Guardiola’s side ran riot to book their spot in the Champions League final.

Madrid’s defence of their European title was ended as Man City walked out comfortable 4-0 winners.

The defeat has left big question marks over Ancelotti’s job at the Bernabéu, however, the Italian looks set to stay…

Ancelotti’s job is safe

Real Madrid are NOT considering changing coach, according to the Athletic.

Planning for pre-season has started with the Italian and the club are drawing up plans for the transfer window.

There is also a feeling of optimism in the dressing room regarding Ancelotti’s continuation.

Recently, Florentino Perez and Emilio Butragueno both spoke in support of him, whilst the players also praised him after the defeat in Manchester.

In the mixed zone, Luka Modric, Toni Kroos and Vinicius Jr all spoke out in favour of Ancelotti staying.

Having won the Copa Del Rey, there has always been a sense that his job was safe.

He also has a contract until 2024 and it looks as though he will be kept on until then.
