Spanish national team boss Luis Enrique has, on Sunday, provided an insight into the members of his squad most likely to enjoy a post-playing career on the touchline.
Enrique, of course, has spent the week to date, and last three years total, overseeing the development of the latest crop of Spanish football talent.
In turn, the 52-year-old has, at this point, garnered a solid understanding of those members of the Roja setup who are very much tactically inclined, and too those who are not.
Speaking to the media on Sunday, the tactician therefore opened up on who exactly he feels is best positioned to extend their days in the football sphere beyond the point of hanging up their boots, to take up a role in management.
After being drawn on as much during a press conference ahead of Spain’s World Cup opener versus Costa Rica on Wednesday, Enrique pointed towards a pair of Barcelona stars as being best positioned for as much.
The first should come as little surprise, in the form of midfield maestro Sergio Busquets.
Having developed in Barcelona’s famed La Masia academy before enjoying three years working under the watch of Pep Guardiola in Manchester, the stopper, at just 21, already appears to be catching the eye with both his technical and tactical understanding of the game.
