Arsenal’s record signing Nicolas Pepe and Chelsea flop Timo Werner are just two of the names that have been offered to Newcastle this summer as clubs look to take advantage of their new wealth by cashing in.
The Magpies are now the wealthiest club in world football thanks to a takeover in late 2021, and every club knows it. As a result, Eddie Howe’s side have faced a tricky time navigating the transfer market, seeing valuations of players inflated to reflect the wealth that the selling party know that the Tyneside outfit can draw from.
While they have added Sven Botman and Nick Pope to their side from last season, their frontline still needs improvement should they wish to kick on this campaign, with Eddie Howe currently only able to rely on Chris Wood, Alan Saint-Maximin and an injury-prone Callum Wilson.

So far, the club have seen deals for Bayer Leverkusen forward Moussa Diaby, Real Sociedad striker Alexander Isak and Reims no.9 Hugo Ekitike all fall through as their respective clubs held out for extortionate fees.
Magpies offered Prem pair
And, in an attempt to solve this issue while also solve their own issues, big clubs have been offering Eddie Howe their castaways this summer.
According to 90min, Arsenal record signing Nicolas Pepe has been offered to Newcastle as Arsenal look to offload the Ivorian, while Chelsea forward Timo Werner has also been discussed.
So far, none of these offers have been taken up, and the players in question may not wish to make the move, but as the season draws nearer and targets continue to dwindle, they could end up being revisited.
