West Ham Chairman David Sullivan has confirmed that Declan Rice has played his last game for West Ham following their UEFA Conference League success over Fiorentina, amid increasing speculation that he will join Arsenal this summer.

The English midfielder captained his side to a historic trophy, won courtesy of a 90th minute goal from Jarrod Bowen, and admitted after the game that his future remained uncertain.

“Look at the moment there’s a lot of speculation about my future”, he explained. “There is interest that’s out there but ultimately I’ve still got two years left at West Ham [one year plus option]. There hasn’t been nothing yet [offers]. Let’s wait and see, who knows.”

However, West Ham owner Sullivan appears to have confirmed the open secret that the midfielder will be on the move this summer, admitting that the club have already promised him that he can leave should a suitable offer come in.

“We promised him he could go. He set his heart on going. “You can’t ask for a man who has committed more to us this season”, he told radio station TalkSport

When quizzed further on the move, he claimed that a deal could be wrapped up sooner rather than later, with ‘three or four clubs’ interested in the Hammers skipper/

Arsenal are reportedly ready to make a £90m bid for the midfielder in the coming days, in the hope of making Rice their record signing, while Bayern Munich and Manchester United are also thought to be keen on the Englishman.
