Leeds United head coach Jesse Marsch has, on Friday, provided a fresh insight into the wellbeing of star striker Patrick Bamford.
Hitman Bamford, of course, has endured another campaign to forget to date.
This comes with a fresh round of fitness issues having culminated in the 29-year-old featuring from the off in just two of Leeds’ eight Premier League outings.
His latest appearance, in the Whites’ return to action on the back of the international break last weekend, saw Bamford introduced for the final 22 minutes of a meeting with Aston Villa at Elland Road.
With their side’s efforts to bag an all-important winner against 10-man Villa having ultimately come up short, though, all of a Leeds persuasion were no doubt hopeful of hearing positive news when it comes to the club’s star attacker’s readiness to return to starting duties this weekend.

Jesse Marsch’s troops are set to make the trip to London on Sunday, for a Premier League meeting with Crystal Palace.
And the American tactician went on to confirm that the once-prolific attacker is ‘fitter and training well’.
A ‘high likelihood’ therefore exists that Bamford will be thrown in from the off at Selhurst Park in 48 hours’ time:
Marsch on Patrick Bamford. ‘He’s fitter and trained well this week. He’s ready to go and there’s a high likelihood he’ll be ready from the start.’
