Liverpool head coach Jurgen Klopp has, on Sunday evening, aimed something of a lighthearted dig at Newcastle United assistant manager Jason Tindall.

Klopp, of course, led his side back into action a short time ago.

In their opening fixture of the new season, Liverpool made the trip to Stamford Bridge, for a highly-anticipated Premier League showdown with Chelsea.

And, when all was said and done, the Reds battled their way to a hard-fought point, courtesy of a 1-1 stalemate.

Speaking to the media post-match, Jurgen Klopp, in turn, was drawn on a whole host of topics relating to the day’s proceedings in west London.

One such subject centered on a new Premier League rule, which has come into effect for the 2023/24 campaign.

And, as alluded to above, when drawn on as much on the back of the full-time whistle at Stamford Bridge, Klopp made use of the opportunity to have some fun at the expense of one of the Premier League’s more high-profile assistant coaches – Jason Tindall.

For those not familiar with his name, Newcastle United assistant Tindall took place centre stage in the English media headlines on a number of occasions last season.

This came as the former Bournemouth boss was repeatedly accused of attempting to make himself the centre of attention, at the expense of Magpies head coach Eddie Howe.

After Tindall’s exploits earned him meme status across social media, Klopp, in turn, felt it only right to join in the fun, suggesting that the Premier League’s new ruling on pitchside behaviour ‘is only a problem for one team: Newcastle.’

He went on to concluded his point with: ‘Sorry!’
