Barcelona starlet Pedri has, on Thursday, revealed his hope that Erling Haaland will ultimately end up taking his talents to the Camp Nou this summer.

The subject of Haaland’s future has of course been rampant in the media for some time now.

This comes with the Norwegian sensation set to be available at a cut-price fee this summer, when a clause in his Borussia Dortmund contract comes into play.

A whole host of European football’s heavyweights, in turn, are expected to express a keen interest in his signature.

And, despite their long-standing financial woes, one such club, according to widespread reports, will indeed come in the form of La Liga giants Barcelona.

In turn, as alluded to above, one individual who appears altogether hopeful of joining forces with Dortmund’s star man over the seasons to come is Barca talent Pedri.

Speaking in an interview with TVE on Thursday, the Spanish international was drawn on the speculation linking Haaland with the club, and went on to explain:

Burgeoning Blaugrana

Should Pedri’s wish ultimately come true, and Haaland indeed opt to take his talents to Barcelona, then it would mark just one more addition to a frankly remarkable crop of young talent currently emerging at the Camp Nou under the watch of Xavi.

As things stand, the Blaugrana boast the services of the likes of Pedri, Gavi, Nico, Ferran Torres, Ansu Fati, Eric Garcia, Abde Ezzalzouli and Sergino Dest, all of whom are 21 or under.

Add the explosive goalscoring abilities of Haaland to the mix, and something special could well be brewing in the Catalan capital once more…
