Liverpool head coach Jurgen Klopp has, on Saturday evening, provided an update on the wellbeing of defender Trent Alexander-Arnold.
This comes, for those who may have missed it, after the England international set alarm bells ringing across the Reds fanbase a short time ago.
Klopp guided his side back into action a short time ago, eyeing a first win of the Premier League season against Bournemouth, after being held to a 1-1 draw by Chelsea on opening day.
And, when all was said and done on Saturday, secure all three points is precisely what Liverpool went on to do.
Despite a 2nd-half scare upon summer arrival Alexis Mac Allister being given his marching orders, the Anfield hosts battled their way to a 3-1 triumph, courtesy of goals on the part of all of Luis Diaz, Mohamed Salah, and Diogo Jota.

As alluded to above, though, an otherwise positive day’s work for Liverpool was soured to at least some degree late in the action on Merseyside.
Speaking to the media post-match, it therefore came as little surprise when the subject of TAA’s wellbeing was put to the aforementioned Jurgen Klopp.
And Liverpool’s boss went on to confirm that the 24-year-old was the recipient of a ‘painful’ kick on the ankle.
Nevertheless, the hope is that the problem won’t force Alexander-Arnold into any sort of extended spell on the sidelines.
Klopp on Trent:
“He told me he got a kick. Pretty painful. That’s why we changed him. We hope he’ll be okay.”
