Manchester City head coach Pep Guardiola, has, on Sunday evening, provided an update on the wellbeing of four key members of his squad.
The players in question? Kevin De Bruyne, Jack Grealish, Ruben Dias and Manuel Akanji.
City, of course, were back in action a short time ago, closing out the club’s Premier League campaign in a meeting with Brentford.
The Sky Blues, ultimately, were condemned to a 1-0 defeat, albeit an ultimately meaningless one, with the English top-flight title having long made its way back to The Etihad.

En route to just a fifth league loss of the season, though, as alluded to above, a rake of star performers were absent from Man City’s matchday squad.
Speaking to the media on Sunday evening, boss Guardiola was therefore asked for the latest on the fitness of all of the aforementioned De Bruyne, Dias, Grealish, and Akanji.
He went on to add:
“Ruben didn’t train 10 days, Grealish neither. After Brighton Kevin felt same feelings as before weeks ago. They couldn’t play a few games.”
In a boost for all of a Citizens persuasion, though, Guardiola concluded by assuring that he expects the quartet to be ready to feature from the off, when his side take on neighbours Manchester United in next weekend’s FA Cup final.
Pep says KDB/Dias/Grealish/Akanji have niggles and are ‘mentally drained’
“Ruben didn’t train 10 days, Grealish neither. After Brighton Kevin felt same feelings as before weeks ago. They couldn’t play a few games. not a big issue. I think they will be ready [for Wembley].” #mcfc
