Saudi side Al-Ittihad are willing to offer close to 150m for Liverpool attacker Mo Salah before the Saudi transfer window slams shut on September 20th, despite Jurgen Klopp’s refusal to part ways with the Egyptian.
Salah has been on the list of targets for Saudi Arabia’s spending spree all summer, but has so far resisted a move, though teammates Jordan Henderson and Fabinho have both headed to the middle east.
Earlier in the summer, Salah’s agent Remy Abbas shut down departure rumours, taking to Twitter to explain:
“If we considered leaving LFC this year, we wouldn’t have renewed the contract last summer. Mohamed remains committed to LFC.”

Reports have since claimed that Salah has agreed a mega deal to move this summer, though he won’t be pushing to leave Liverpool out of respect for the club.
Now, the eyewatering figures behind any potential deal have been revealed.
It is added that ‘Al-Ittihad hope that a salary package comparable with Neymar and Cristiano Ronaldo, who are understood to earn around $216 million a year when bonuses and endorsements are factored in, will convince Salah to push for a move to Saudi Arabia.’
Klopp, however, has remained adamant that his Egyptian dynamo will be going absolutely nowhere over the final days of the transfer window.
“The Mo Salah to Al-Ittihad story hasn’t quite gone away, has it?” the German was asked after the 2-1 win over Newcastle United at St James’ Park
“For me, it has!” Klopp responded.
With time running out in the transfer window to replace the Liverpool legend, a departure remains unlikely barring a drastic change of circumstance.
