Moises Caicedo came off the bench vs West Ham on Sunday, August 20, to make his Chelsea debut.
The £115m man is the most expensive player in British transfer history.
So, with Chelsea losing 2-1 at the time, fans were no doubt hopeful the South American could rescue their side a point.
However, Caicedo did the opposite and gave away a penalty to hand the Hammers a 3-1 win.
On Caicedo’s Chelsea debut, Mauricio Pochettino had this to say:
“It was a very negative impact to the team. We played well in the first half and then it was difficult in the second half, we didn’t find the right way to play and we did change the shape.
He added on Caicedo himself: “He was telling us he was ready, I think 30 minutes is good for him, many positive things and he is maybe disappointed but we need to move on and he will be a good player for us.
“I cannot change my speech after Liverpool we needed to believe in the process and we need to keep being clam and that is the process.”
