Following the news emerging on Friday that Roberto Firmino would be leaving Liverpool this summer when his contract ran out, further insight has been provided into Liverpool’s squad building for next season as another three players are expected to leave for free at the end of the season.
The Reds are expected to have a major clearout this summer following their most disappointing period under Jurgen Klopp. with Champions League football looking unlikely for next season and the Reds crumbling to a 5-2 defeat at Anfield against Real Madrid in this season’s competition.
And Roberto Firmino was confirmed to be the first casualty, with the Brazilian to leave this summer when his current deal expires. However, he is by no means the last.

According to reports, both Naby Keita and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, who set Liverpool back a combined fee of almost £100m on arrival, will be allowed to leave for free as part of the latest squad turnover.
The duo have started seven Premier League games between them this season, and have been susceptible to injuries during their time on Merseyside, leaving their departures largely unsurprising.
Meanwhile, Arthur Melo is also expected to leave, with the Brazilian yet to make a Premier League appearance since arriving on loan from Juventus in the summer. Though Liverpool have a £37m option to buy the player, it is not expected that they will exercise it, with other targets being looked at to strengthen the midfield.
With plenty of players leaving this summer, it could be a massive squad overhaul that the reds undergo before the beginning of next season.
